I used to being able to separate front and back panel into their own audio streams, in fact that works splendid on my X99 motherboard which uses ALC1150. There is no way I can get around this behavior except for pulling out the audio mini-jack. When I put in my analog headset into the front panel, my back panel speakers are automatically disabled (only the audio mini-jack, the microphone does not impact this). These drivers no longer provide the included console, it has to be acquired from Windows Store. I've installed the drivers provided by ASRock and also the Realtek Audio Console from Windows Store. For some reason with this motherboard that does not work using the latest build of Windows 10 (1809). using AudioSwitcher software) you wanted to have playback. Up until now with Realtek Audio drivers you could split the front and back panel audio into separate streams, which made it very easy switching between them by selecting the default device (i.e. I have an ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard with an Ryzen 5 2600X installed in a Fractal Design Define Nano S case, and I'm having some annoying problems with the Realtek ALC1220 onboard audio using the frontpanel on the case.
